Nothing beats the winter blues in Canada like spending a day in one of the beaches in the Philippines.

Now on its sixth year, the Winter Escapade Tour will highlight the culture, heritage and history of Batangas and the natural beauty of El Nido in Palawan.

Running from January 28 to February 4, 2019, the tour will start in Manila before heading to Taal and Nasugbu in Batangas and El Nido in Palawan.

The Winter Escapade is an annual tour package that includes hotel accommodations, domestic air transfers, guided excursions, meals, land and ferry transfers, domestic terminal fees, porterage fees, and travel insurance. The tour is organized by all Philippine consulates general and the Philippine Embassy in Canada in cooperation with the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism and the Tourism Promotions Board.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada officially launched Winter Escapade 6 on August 21, 2018 at the Sentro Rizal Ottawa with over a hundred Filipinos and Canadians from the cities of Ottawa, Kingston, Montreal and Gatineau. Official launch events were also held in Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver.

The Winter Escapade Tour aims to re-acquaint Filipinos living abroad with their cultural roots in the homeland and provide opportunities for Canadians to experience Philippine culture firsthand. To date, the tour has brought more than a thousand visitors to the Philippines since its establishment in 2014.
